About Rev. Walter P. Wiley
Rev. Walter Pinnix Wiley was born on October 25, the third of nine children born to Dorsey and Mattie Wiley in Yanceyville, North Carolina. He attended A&T University in Greensboro for two years before enlisting in the United States Coast Guard, where he served as a radio operator specializing in Morse code.
In the late 1970s, Walter joined Deliverance Church of Christ, now Kingdom Life Ministries, where he dedicated his life to Christ and faithful service. Throughout the years, he has served as an Adult Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, prayer leader, head of the men’s ministry, and leader of outside maintenance. He has also cared for the church’s community garden and rental properties, helped construct the neighborhood playground, and served on various committees and boards. His faithful leadership led to his appointment as an elder and later his ordination as a pastor. His commitment to outreach has also taken him to Africa several times in support of Kingdom Life Ministries and Kimoyo Missions.
Pastor Walter is married to Brenda Divers Wiley, an elder at Kingdom Life Ministries. Together, they have one son, Walter II, and a daughter-in-law, Sydney. Walter’s life reflects a steadfast devotion to God, a heart for service, and a lasting commitment to his family, church, and community.
