Cancer Free!

I am Cecelia (Susie) McCoy. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in March 2022. I felt something unusual but convinced myself it was nothing. After several months, I decided to get it checked out. Since no one in my family had been diagnosed with breast cancer, I was convinced that I did not have it.

Several months before my diagnosis, our church invited a speaker, Lutheria Smith, who shared her journey with breast cancer. A few months after her visit, I felt the lump and decided to make an appointment. I was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer.

I underwent a lumpectomy to remove the cancer. I did not have chemotherapy, but I did endure four weeks of daily radiation treatments. Following radiation, my doctor recommended that I take part in a promising experimental breast cancer drug treatment at no cost to me.

Today, I am cancer-free! I praise God for His amazing grace and for bringing me through this experience. All glory and honor belong to Him!
