Grateful and Graceful: My Journey of Faith
In 2018, I faced one of the greatest challenges of my life. After being diagnosed with breast cancer late that year, I realized that God had already been preparing me for the journey ahead. From January 1, 2018, I had been walking alongside my daughter as she faced a sudden illness. Watching her endure so much with grace, strength, and faith taught me lessons I would soon need for my own battle.
When my diagnosis came, I knew I had to follow her example and face my challenge with that same grace. Although I had a mammogram in 2018, it was my own self-check that led me to discover the lump. That discovery became a powerful reminder of the importance of knowing your body and paying attention to the changes within it.
My journey included a double mastectomy and reconstruction surgery. It was not an easy road, but through every step, I held on to my faith and trusted God to carry me through.
Today, I am still here, cancer-free, and thanking God every step of the way! My journey taught me that even when life brings unexpected challenges, God can prepare us through the experiences we face and the strength we witness in others.
My daughter's grace inspired my own, and my faith kept me moving forward. I am living proof that a difficult chapter does not have to be the end of your story.
I am more than a survivor. I am a testimony of faith, strength, and God's amazing grace. Grateful for life. Graceful through the journey. Faithful to God.
Grateful and Graceful—that is my testimony, and that is what I proudly proclaim!
