Rev. Jerel "Jay" Rhodes
Senior Pastor
Pastor Jerel Rhodes serves as the Senior Pastor of Kingdom Life Ministries International, ordained on February 23, 2025. A Roanoke native, he was raised in Kingdom Life and has dedicated his life to faith, education, and youth empowerment.
He holds a B.S. in Sociology from Norfolk State University and an M.S. in Educational Counseling from Radford University. With over 27 years in education, Pastor Jerel currently serves as the School Counseling Coordinator at William Fleming High School.
Ordained as a Pastor in 2019, he brings a deep passion for mentorship and ministry. He is the founder of Rebounding Roanoke, a nonprofit supporting youth through programs like the Renaissance and ELLE Academies.
Pastor Jerel is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., a husband to Rhonda Chambers Rhodes, and father to four children: Jerel II, Jadyn, Jase, and Jerrah. His guiding mottos—“We exist, therefore, we succeed” and “Exposure is the key to maximizing one’s potential”—reflect his commitment to uplifting the next generation.
